A Winter Solstice

someproseandapoem.substack.com

A cold full moon

Iridescent and bright

The Way manifests

Illuminating the pebbly path to

The winter solstice’s

Arrival

Whispering to us: “Sit in the Shadow.”

“Inhale the Silence and the lovely Darkness.”

From this transpires

Innerstanding of the dying back

Back

Back to the Genesis

And to Gaia’s progressive dictate -

“Keep ignoring me, hear?” she says

To most for whom Chaos is their lover

Yet some of us

Through ritual, relaxation, rest

Through the laws of Ma’at

The ancestors and the Most High

Familiar with Akashic Records

Succumb and unite

Over

And over

To Natural Law
