Black womanist – is that redundant?

Because I am both and each one

Why?

Because I have to be to free myself

Because I must be to liberate my sisters

Black girls have it rough

Black women suffer

from fibroids

and stress

and trauma

and racism

and sexism

and homophobia and….

Because

Black girls have it rough

Imma change that

Because

We are the Originators

We are the Creators

So this isn’t hard

To love in and through action
